5 O'Clock Shadow: Karma Police

“Karma Police” is a track off of Radiohead’s third studio album, OK Computer. The band refers to the song title as a catchphrase while they were on tour; the Karma Police was always on the look-out. In one of the most experimental albums for Radiohead, the song speaks to the consequences of one’s actions and a deeper contemplation of fate. The song was more recently covered by John Vanderslice who takes the haunting tune and strips it down further. His cover begins simply and spaciously, he builds the instrumentation and the intensity as the song itself comes to its climax.
