This week on the Seven O'Clocks Sample we are are going to explore the music of Steely Dan.  The dymanic song writing duo of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker have brought us a large collection of hits, but this week, we explore those who have sampled these hits.  We begin with the 1977 album AJA. Originally released in 1977 on ABC Records, it became the group's best-selling album. Peaking at No. 3 on the U.S. charts and No. 5 in the United Kingdom, it was the band's first platinum album, eventually selling over 5 million copies .

From the album Aja, here is "Peg".

This song has been sampled by a few aritist, but few used this as well as Prince Paul, when he produced De La Soul's debut album.  From 3 FEET HIGH AND RISING, here is "Eye Know".
