Radio Milwaukee Tours

What to check out our new home in Walker's Point?  Every Thursday (Major Holidays Excluded) at 4:30 p.m. we host free tours of our custom-built studios.

You will be treated to a “behind the scenes” tour of our new home, 220 E. Pittsburgh Ave.  The tour will start in Studio Milwaukee, our performance space, and include the Green Roof, offering unique views of the Hoan Bridge, Marcus Amphitheater, Walker’s Point and downtown Milwaukee.

After the tour, you are invited to join us for 414 Music Live. Whether you stay for 414 Music or not, Stone Creek Coffee’s Radio Milwaukee Cafe has coffee, wine and beer available.

Tours should take about 30 minutes. Doors open for 414 Music Live at 5:00 and the performance begins at 5:30 p.m.

Have a sneak-peek here.

Originally built in 1952 as a manufacturing building for J.C. Busch Co. — which manufactured precision machined angles, plates, and other metalwork — 88Nine Radio Milwaukee’s new home was currently designed by HGA Architects and features barn wood from a dairy barn built in the early 1900s in Sheboygan County. The building features a 2,500 Sf green roof composed of a tray system planted with mixed sedum, and can hold up to 1,500 gallons of rainwater. The new home has new studios equipped with the latest technology; sound-proof recording studios for broadcasting, recording and production; a 100-seat performance studio for live performances and events; opportunities for local musicians to meet and collaborate in a physical space, and more.
