Harold Ramis, a writer/director/actor responsible for many beloved movies such as "Caddyshack", "National Lampoon's Animal House", "Ghostbusters" and "Stripes" passed away Monday in Chicago. He suffered for several years from an autoimmune disease that caused inflammation and damage to his blood vessels. He died at his home in the Chicago suburbs, surrounded by family and friends.

Another court battle begins today over Wisconsin's Voter ID law. The state Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case the League of Women Voters of WI initiated. Gov. Walker signed the bill in May of 2011, but the courts have blocked it ever since. The League of Women Voters was among the first to challenge the requirement that all voters present a government-issued photo ID.

The cold weather could be saving part of the state's forests under attack by the emerald ash borer beetle. They make so many tunnels under the bark that they kill the green growing layer of trees. If it gets to be 20 below zero for a sustained amount of time, 80% of the larvae beetles left inside the trees will be killed. 30 below zero will kill off 98% of the larvae.

Michelle Obama and Will Ferrell teamed up to create an anti-obesity Public Service Announcement. They sat down with a focus group of kids to talk about the importance of eating right and exercising often. At one point, Ferrell asks them if eating and entire honey-baked ham is good for a beach body. A link to the video found here.
