Starting today, Alterra Coffee will change its name to Colectivo Coffee. Three years ago, the founders of Alterra reached a deal with Mars Drinks, a subsidiary of Mars Inc. allowing them to distribute their product globally under the name Alterra. Now the three-year relationship is over, the owners decided to move on, thus the name change. They report the coffee, food, people, culture and quality will remain the same.

WI was selected to receive an additional $11 million in Race to the Top Early Learning education grants from the federal government. The state will use the award to continue to implement current programs being used to make advancements in the early education system and improve the access to quality early learning for at risk kids. The goal is to have all WI children reading by the end of third grade.

Severe weather soaked the country over the weekend, stranding travelers, washing out roads and claiming two lives. Hawaii braces today for Tropical Storm Flossie, which threatens to dump up to 15 inches of rain on the islands.

The U.S. on Sunday announced the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian talks following years of stalemate, after Israel's Cabinet agreed to release 104 Palestinian prisoners convicted of deadly attacks. The release is a key part of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's brokered deal to restart peace talks.
