After winning a landmark discrimination lawsuit against the FBI, Oak Creek native Justin Slaby is returning to the training academy in hopes of becoming the first special agent in U.S. history with a prosthetic hand.

The WI Housing and Economic Development Authority is designating a new program providing small incentives to lenders to make small business loans in the Transform Milwaukee Area. Transform Milwaukee focuses on restoring economic prosperity to the industrial, residential and transportation areas connecting Milwaukee's 30th Street Industrial Corridor, Menomonee Valley and Port of Milwaukee.

The public will get a chance to sound off this week on a new set of bills that would create tougher penalties for drunken drivers. The Assembly Judiciary Committee has scheduled a public hearing for Thursday on the measures to make a first offense a misdemeanor if the driver's blood alcohol level is 0.15% or higher, allowing authorities to seize drunken drivers' cars and require mandatory court appearances for accused drunken drivers.

Milwaukee Public Schools has announced that, for the first time, it will provide free transportation for students participating in MPS Head Start, which puts qualifying K3 and K4 students on a the path to school success through individualized educational experiences, nutrition and family services.
