A soggy weekend is in store for parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast as Tropical Storm Karen approaches the central Gulf of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane watch for Grand Isle, Louisiana to west of Destin, Florida. The center of the storm is forecast to be near the coast within that area Saturday.
Several new tenants will be ready to open soon at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale. New tenants include Ulta Beauty, Clarks Shoes and Sprecher's Restaurant & Pub...which will replace Bravo Cucina after an extensive renovation.
President Barack Obama is canceling a trip to Asia to stay in Washington and push for an elusive funding bill to get the nation's business back up and running. Obama planned to attend upcoming economic summits in Indonesia and Brunei. Secretary of State John Kerry will head to the U.S. delegation to the summits.
According to City Pages, Prince will open his home/studios to the public when he hosts a concert this coming Saturday, October 5th. Prince's Paisley Park Studies cost $10 to construct in 1987 and includes a 12,500 square foot soundstage. For Saturday's performance, Prince will be joined by both his new band 3rdEyeGirl and old band New Power generation. A $50 donation required at the door.
