Urban Milwaukee, the daily online magazine that covers news around the city, has purchased Third Coast Daily (formerly Third Coast Digest) , an online arts and entertainment publication. Urban Milwaukee will continue to operate the sites separately to target different audiences. The sale will be effective December 1st.

The Milwaukee Bucks have teamed up with 4 local T-Shirt design companies to introduce a new line of fan apparel. Wiskullsin, Milwaukee Home, Brew City and Sconnie Nation all contributed designs to the new "Milwaukee Originals" t-shirt series. The shirts will be unveiled one at a time during four upcoming games. Republican Jessie Rodriguez defeated Democrat Elizabeth Coppola on Tuesday in a special election for the 21st District Assembly seat vacated in South Milwaukee. Rodriguez will replace Mark Honadel, who held the seat for a decade before his resignation in September.

A Jet Airways cleaning crew found something unexpected stashed in the plane's bathroom after a flight from Bangkok landed in Eastern India.  24 gold bars worth more than $1.1 million were hidden in the airplane lavatory. India is one of the world's biggest consumers of gold.
