Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Daniel Noonan has signed a temporary restraining order that prevents the City of Milwaukee from enforcing its residency requirement. Attorneys for the city attorney's office and the police union are expected to be in court today for a status conference on the issue.
Today marks the beginning of Wisconsin's oldest fair, the Waukesha County Fair. The fair started 171 years ago. New this year is a monkey exhibit in addition to daily motorcycle shows and an agriculture play land for kids. Cheap Trick headlines on Friday and The Spinners on Sunday.
The House of Representatives passed two bills Wednesday postponing two key provisions of Obamacare, marking nearly 40 times that the Republican-controlled house has attempted to repeal or roll back parts of the president's signature first term accomplishment.
Fondy Food Center will kick off a one-week crowdfunding campaign July 20th for the Fondy WIC Market Match Program and for its Saturday programming. The money raised would double the value of food vouchers from the WIC program low-income families bring to the market. Last year, the group raised $20K which was depleted in six weeks.
