There are certain sounds you only hear during the holidays.

You recognize them right away, and they take you to a special place -- a special feeling.

With the season in full swing, 88nine is bringing you the sounds of the season at the city's official Holiday tree lighting.

We last told about you the tree as it was harvested a few weeks ago.  Donated by loving Shepherd Lutheran School and Church, the 40-foot Colorado Blue Spruce symbolizes a special Milwaukee milestone -- it is the 100th anniversary of a public tree displayed downtown.

Now the tree is decorated with blue lights and red ribbons, and on November 20, it was lit in a special ceremony at Red Arrow Park.

And from all of us at 88nine, Happy Holidays!
