Groove to B~Free on 414 Live

Thursday, we got a beautiful preview of MJ-Uncovered with B~Free on 414 Live.

On April 13 at Turner Hall Ballroom, Milwaukee’s B~Free will curate the next edition of the Uncovered series.  She has enlisted a variety Milwaukee musicians to reinterpret the music of Michael Jackson with her.
Groove to B~Free on 414 Live with the MJ-Uncovered crew.

We got our first listen to this project last week when singer and producer B~Free shared a fantastic rendition of the King of Pop’s 1991 hit “Remember The Time” from the album, “Dangerous.” B~Free’s version is a beautifully minimal rendition that combines vocal loops and beatboxing.

Her 414 Live performance included this song and plenty others that were infused with her jazzy flute playing and two-thirds of the local cast for MJ-Uncovered: backup vocals by Michaela Usher, Brian Dimetri and Kyndal J, Quinten Farr on keys, Alan Harris on bass, Olen Franklin on drums, Aram Feriants on guitar, Terry Harris Jr. on the synthesizer and  Jay Anderson on sax, plus Cree Myles with additional vocals.

B~Free and this MJ-Uncovered crew started with "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough," then went into "Remember the Time" and "Earth Song."

They closed out the show with a funky crossover of Lyn Collins' "Think (About It)" and Michael Jackson's "Get on the Floor" that was impossible not to dance to.

Don't miss the full MJ concert with these Milwaukee musicians on April 13 at Turner Hall.

414 Live is presented by: Milwaukee Buckswith support from: Hi Hat Lounge & Garage, The Prairie School and Dave’s Guitar Shop.
