Kamasi Washington to make his Milwaukee debut this November

Saxophonist, Kamasi Washington is one of the most exciting jazz musicians today.  Washington will be performing at Turner Hall Ballroom on Nov. 7.

Washington, who collaborated with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Flying Lotus, released one of the best jazz albums of 2015 called “The Epic.” The album was released on Flying Lotus’ label, Brainfeeder. Washington’s resume includes sharing the stage with shared the stage with jazz legends Pharoah Sanders and the Sun Ra Arkestra, touring with Snoop Dogg, playing with Herbie Hancock, Lauryn Hill, and more.

Washington recently recorded with Terrace Martin’s jazz supergroup The Pollyseeds for their debut album. Back in April, he announced a new EP titled “Harmony of Difference” and shared the first single, “Truth.”
