Genesis Renji, Black Women, Milwaukee Music, Hip-Hop

Genesis Renji is one of Milwaukee's rising hip-hop artists. Last year, he won the US Bank #TourPossible contest which he won $20,000 and financial and record label consultations to help with his music career.

Today, he shared a new song titled "Purple Stones" which honors the black women in his life. "Purple Stones" is the final track on his EP called "LUCID."

Renji said this about the track:

"The black woman is god, and she owns the universe." Purple Stones is the final dream sequence in Genesis Renji's EP LUCID. Produced by Cade Zube, the ethereal track serves as an ode to the black women in Renji's life who inspire and guide him through his everyday journeys.
