President Barak Obama gave his farewell address last night in Chicago, kicked off by a live performance by Eddie Vedder. The Pearl Jam frontman teamed with the Chicago Children’s Choir for a mini-set that included a covers of Patti Smith, Neil Young and more. Vedder wasn’t the only artist on hand to say thanks to the president, as BJ the Chicago kid kicked off the evening with a soulful rendition of the national anthem.
The mega-app, Snapchat, could be making big changes to he music industry in 2017, says Mashable. Last week, musician Ed Sheeran used the app to tease a new song by hiding it as background music for one of their “lens” features.
