In the first hour, we played new music from TOKiMONSTA featuring Yuna, Washed Out, SZA, Charlotte Dos Santos, Vince Staples, Mr Jukes ( a project from Bombay Bicycle Club's Jack Steadman), Poolside, and more.
We also introduced you to a new artist by the name of Sudan Archives, who is signed to the Stones Throw label. She is a 23 year-old violinist/vocalist who writes, plays, and produces her own music. She is self-taught on the violin, inspired by Sudanese fiddlers, R&B, West African rhythms, and experimental electronic music. Check out her cover of Kendrick Lamar's "King Kunta" below.
