This week's Seven O'Clock Segment has been a dedication to the late great George Duke. His passing earlier this week, got us talking about all the great music he left beind. Five decades of material, countless number of collborations and production credits, and a library of original work that stands up to the best of the best. We have explored some great samples this week, but none of them actually sourced Duke's vocals. Today's exaple does. In 1975, he released the album I LOVE THE BLUES, SHE HEARD MY CRY. This album featured the song "Someday".
In 2007, Kanye West sampled this track for Common's song "Break My Heart."
