Just north of North Avenue on Murray Street, the ribbon has been cut on the city's first ever "parklet."

A temporary deck structure has taken the place of three parking spots and a loading zone, and dozens of outdoor restaurant tables have been added for patrons of Divino Wine & Dine and Two Buck restaurant.

The structure will be removed in the winter months, and Alderman Nik Kovac says the city will evaluate the success of the parklet and consider possible expansion.
