The Weeks

The Weeks

The Weeks is twin brothers Cyle (vocals) and Cain (drums), Sam Williams (guitar/vocals) and Damien Bone (bass). Formed when its members were in high school in Jackson, Mississippi, the band self-released its debut EP Dog Days in 2006. More than ten years and a handful of critically acclaimed albums later, the band has relocated to Nashville and toured extensively worldwide with Kings of Leon, The Meat Puppets, North Mississippi Allstars, Local H and many more.

Austin Plaine

Austin Plaine

Having been inspired by artists like Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, and Ryan Adams, it’s easy to see why Austin Plaine found a love for songwriting and lyrics. The Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter turned to music as his personal outlet and hasn’t looked back since. After having his music featured in a Mastercard commercial, as well as some TV shows, his debut was released September 11, 2015 on Washington Square Music.

Trapper Schoepp Rock the Burbs

Trapper Schoepp

Trapper Schoepp is a young man who’s befriended a strange and diverse cast of characters during his 25 years. That small army of rogues and rebels, drifters and dreamers, soldiers and schemers populate his songs, their tragedies and comedies, their lives and deaths recalled in his finely etched musical vignettes. The Minnesota-born, Wisconsin-based tunesmith and teller of tales (both tall and true), returns with his second effort Rangers & Valentines (Xtra Mile Recordings). The record follows his critically acclaimed 2012 debut Run Engine, Run, with his band the Shades. That LP earned notices in Rolling Stone, American Songwriter and Paste, with the folks at Huffington Post calling him a “master storyteller” and PBS hailing his "story songs that explore and explode the conventions of rock and roll." Like the album, it’ll be another opportunity to catch a young journeyman at work.

No No Yeah Okay

No No Yeah Okay

The Milwaukee-based sonic melting pot that is No No Yeah Okay took form in 2014 when Mark Gage (production) and Christopher Quasius (guitar) began creating experimental instrumentals with little purpose beyond passing the time while drinking a few beers. As their library of instrumentals grew, Mark invited friend and, at the time, rapper, Colin Plant (vocals), to add vocals to a few tracks. Colin quickly felt like No No Yeah Okay was an opportunity to evolve as an artist and change his style towards singing versus rapping. With the introduction of Joshua Paynter (bass) the band added a layer of craft and detail that was necessary to finish their debut song, XO.

XO was the proxy to a longer road of discovery. How do you mash hip hop with electronic with punk? They are still figuring that out, one song at a time. In 2015, No No Yeah Okay released Dual (EP). Through the stylistic twist and turns of each member’s influence, a broader narrative emerged through the debut project. A story that contains scenarios and messages that are relatable to most anyone; the rise and fall of your first serious relationship. No No Yeah Okay had quickly become established as a unique sonic presence delivered by an elevated focus on aesthetics and narrative substance.
