Listen: If you're like me, you've spent a good deal of your last 48 hours digging yourself out from layers and layers of blizzard. And what's the best cure for the aches, chills, and sniffles of these past couple snow days? Going out and exploring some of the spectacularly creative happenings around Milwaukee!

And guess what? the Peck School of the Arts at UW-Milwaukee has just the right cure for what ails you -- Winterdances: Égalité, which opens tonight (Feb 3rd) and runs through this Sunday (Feb 6th). Read more about that show here. Also, continue below to check out a piece we put together focusing on one of the dances, Alwin Nikolais' Water Studies.

I spoke with Peck School Department of Dance Chair Ed Burgess, a few dancers, as well as visiting choreographer and Alwin Nikolais expert Alberto Del Saz about the upcoming multi-media spectacular that is Water Studies. Radio about dance isn't always easy to put together, but you can check out some impressions from our conversations and of the show in this piece:

I really did have a ton of fun hanging around while they rehearsed -- honestly, I've never seen anything like Water Studies before. To wrap your head around what you'd see when you go and check out Winterdances, see some photos I took below:
