Thirty years ago, today, we lost the legendary artist and humanitarian, John Lennon.  Throughout his career with the Beatles, his solo work, and recordings with Yoko Ono, Lennon created timeless pieces of music.  His contributions to music history and human rights have left an irreplaceable mark on the world.  May we honor him today and always.

"In a treat for fans, Rolling Stone magazine is releasing what it's calling Lennon's "final interview," which was given just three days before he was killed.

In it, the Beatles legend talks about being a father and slams his critics. "What they want is dead heroes, like Sid Vicious and James Dean. I'm not interested in being a dead f***ing hero. ... So forget 'em, forget 'em," he said." (Aol News)

Performed on Our World, the first live global television link, it was broadcast via satellite on the 25th of June, 1967... watched by 400 million people in 26 countries!
