Citizen King samples Joe Tex

Citizen King were arguably one of the most successful Milwaukee bands of the 90s.  There hit "Better Days (And The Bottom Drops Out)" was a national hit.  It reach #25 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1999.

 

 

Old Man Malcolm scratches on this song, is one of the reasons I became a DJ in the first place!  Loved this album!!!!

Well, there are several records used by Malcolm on this cut, but the surprise drum break comes from a record by Joe Tex called "Papa Was Too".
