This morning, I've put together a nice string of samples that weave together into a very cool edition of 7 O Clock sample.

Let's begin by taking it back to 1974. Gladys Knight & the Pips released an album titled,I FEEL A SONG. That alum featured a track called The Way We Were / Try to Remember.

Check it out...

So in 1993, WU TANG CLAN introduced the world to their new and unique approach to Hip Hop. On their freshman release, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) , the clan brought us a raw and fresh approach to Hip Hop with the track, CAN IT ALL BE SO SIMPLE.

A few years later, Lauren Hill took a step back from her work with the FuGees and released one of the BEST albums I've ever heard. THE MISEDUCATION OF LAUREN HILL, is widely held to be one of the best solo break out albums of the past decade. Lauren took a clue from RZA and the WU when she sampled / reworked these two songs into EX-FACTOR.
