This morning on AMKE Dori was out, so Jordan covered the news.
Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. filed suit in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Wednesday seeking to assert his authority over the County Correctional Facility-South in Franklin. Clarke says he has control under the state constitution of both the county jail and the Franklin lockup, formerly known as the House of Correction. He's asking the court to overturn a move by the County Board to shift control of the Franklin facility to a superintendent appointed by County Executive Chris Abele.

Last night at New York City's charitable 12-12-12 concert, which earmarked proceeds for victims of Superstorm Sandy, talk was overwhelmingly all about one act: Paul McCartney, who would reportedly be joining the surviving members of '90s phenomenon Nirvana on stage. Well he did. They performed one song, and when the song ended, the audience--both live and watching via stream--held its collective breath waiting for McCartney to launch into one of Nirvana's familiar hits. Would it be "Smells Like Teen Spirit"..."Come As You Are"..."Heart Shaped Box"? Alas, was to be none of these. Dave Grohl, Kris Novoselic, and Pat Smear exited promptly, leaving McCartney to return to his own material.
