Ex-Alderman Michael McGee Jr. was released from federal prison on Wednesday and enjoyed two days of freedom since his incarceration on Memorial Day 2007. McGee must report in this morning to begin serving one more year at the County Correctional Facility in Franklin, where he will be eligible for work release. McGee was convicted of taking bribes and other crimes.

In entertainment news, J.J. Abrams is set to direct the next installment of "Star Wars Episode 7", due out in 2015. J.J. Abrams is the Emmy-award-winning director of the TV show "Lost". He also directed the newest "Star Trek" movies and "Super 8".

More than 600 children from ages 3 to 16 in Milwaukee will receive free dental exam, cleanings and fluoride treatments on Saturday at the 11th annual Give Kids A Smile Screening Day. Dental services will be provided by 31 volunteer dentists from the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association and 175 other volunteers, including dental hygienists, assistants and dental students. The event will be held at Marquette University School of Dentistry, patients will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Barcelona, Spain-based company Crayon Creatures has come up with a way to turn children's drawings into mini sculptures. You email your kids drawing, they sculpt it out of sandstone and ship it to you three weeks later. Each 3-D sculpture runs about $130 a piece and can be shipped worldwide.
