Alterra Coffee Roasters will open its newest store tomorrow at the corner of Kinnickinnic and Lincoln avenues in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood, the company said in a news release. The building includes a cafe, bakery and commissary that will be visible to customers.
The LGBT Film / Video Festival hosts one of its monthly screenings tonight showing Andy Warhol's film "Kiss," at the Lynden Sculpture Garden. The film starts around 8 p.m. Film-goers are encouraged to come early, bring a picnic, spread out a blanket and check out the grounds. Smootching is encouraged.
Repairers of the Breach, the area's only daytime shelter and resource center for homeless people, will hold their The Third Annual Rebuilding Dreams Fundraiser tonight at Lakefront Brewery from 6 to 10pm. Proceeds will benefit their grassroots homeless outreach programs.
