Two winners will split yesterday's $580 million Powerball jackpot. The lucky tickets were purchased in Arizona and Missouri. WI lottery officials say a ticket sold at a Speedway on Oklahoma Ave in West Allis matched the first five numbers and is worth $1 million.

As reported by the Milwaukee Business Journal, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett called for a "timely and fair union election" at Palermo Villa Inc., making his first public comments about the labor dispute. Barrett said he has been meeting with representatives on both sides of the issue and is pleased Palermo executives have publicly expressed their support for an employee vote for a union election.

Google and the Federal Trade Commission are discussing a deal that would end nearly two years of investigation into claims of monopolistic behavior by the company. The most serious charge: it intentionally manipulates search results to harm competitors. More info found here.

Growing Power, Milwaukee's nonprofit urban farm has been awarded a federal grant from the US Department of Agriculture. This Farm To School program aims to improve nutrition education by providing more local foods to city schools.
