The Obama Administration granted an extension for the prescription drug program SeniorCare in Wisconsin. This program which allows Wisconsin seniors to receive prescription drugs they need at an affordable price, was due to expire on Monday, has been renewed until December 31st, 2015.

The iconic East Side space that formerly housed Palermo Villa has opened as Divino Wine and Dine, serving small Italian inspired plates. They will also feature original Palermo Villa pizza. Divino is owned and operated by the folks that own Nessun Dorma in Riverwest.

After his second term in office, President Obama is expected to sponsor a presidential library. According to the Chicago Tribune, a battle is brewing between Chicago and Honolulu, for rights to host the library. Every major library since the John F. Kennedy Library opened in 1979 has been associated with a major university.

As reported by WUWM, Milwaukee County is awarding Wisconsin Veterans injured during service "Purple Heart Passes".  These passes give free admission to a veteran and a guest to several pubic and private attractions like The Milwaukee County Zoo, Harley Davidson Museum and the Milwaukee Public Museum. County Executive Chris Abele will award the first two passes at a ceremony this morning at Discovery world.  To learn more about the passes, check out our facebook page.
