Milwaukee Department of Public Works are working to fix a broken water main at N Water St. and E. Juneau Ave. downtown. The break happened late Monday night under some electrical duct work. The leak could be fixed this morning, but work will continue after that to repair the streets, which may affect your morning commute.
GreenWhey is set to open a new food waste-to-energy project this summer. Byproducts of cheese production will be converted into electricity, heat and a fertilizer product. The project under construction in Turtle Lake, about 70 miles northwest of Eau Claire, will be the largest of it's kind in the country.
As reported by WUWM news, Gov. Scott Walker will propose changes to the school Choice voucher program, opening it to nine more districts beyond Milwaukee and Racine. West Allis-West Milwaukee, Waukesha, Kenosha, Green Bay and Madison are among districts that would qualify.
