The American Lung Association gave Southeastern Wisconsin poor grades during its annual report on Wednesday. Although air quality has improved from 2008 to today, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine and Kenosha had the worst air quality making it unhealthy for sensitive groups of people and those that are active outdoors.

Rare and never seen before 33mm slides of Andy Warhol taken 30 years ago in the south of France, were discovered in a storage cabinet of photographer Steve Wood.  The resulting exhibition "Lost Then Found" opens on May 3 for 10 days in New York featuring unusual shots such as Warhol winking or posing with a giant sunflower and backpack

As reported by WUWM news, Republican and Democratic legislators are calling for a tuition freeze for the UW System. The UW System ended the last fiscal year with nearly $414 million in surplus tuition.  UW-Milwaukee's chancellor released a statement clarifying UWM's financial situation, stressing the university does not have a large, uncommitted cash balance.
