Belleruche On World Cafe | February 02, 2011

A relatively young band, Belleruche (Kathrin Deboer, Ricky Fabulous and DJ Modest) came together in the musical underground of North London in 2005. Described as "handmade hip-hop blues soul," Belleruche's style is unusual in the way it blends blues guitar with beats into one, cohesive style.

Released last October, 270 Stories sounds like a band really hitting its stride. The trio calls it "new stuff in new ways," and the result is something "layered, tougher, more aggressive and possibly at the same time more introspective" than previous releases. (link)
