I am an Apple fan. I love their products; however, Google might be stilling some of Apple thunder with it new open platform for mobile phones called Android. Android could be the iPhone killer. Why? It has a great graphics and the ability to create innovative interfaces, but more importantly, it is open source. Which allows anyone to create mobile applications on any type of device on any service.
Google has now thrown in a carrot. They have announced a $10 Million developer challenge for Android. The company will be awarding fifty $25,000 prizes and then narrowing things down to an additional ten $275,000 and $100,000 awards. You can grab the Software Developer Kit now (which is free). Maybe develop an application for RadioMilwaukee.
Check this video out on the some of the capabilities of Android. Apple you better step up your game.
