Hundreds of young people took to the streets on Friday calling for an end to violence in the inner city.

The march was organized by Summer of Peace 365, a collaboration of youth-serving non-profits including the Milwaukee Public Theater, Wisconsin ACLU, Running Rebels, Boys and Girls Club and many others.

Youth chanted and carried signs in memory of those who died in Milwaukee this year.

The parade moved along Sherman Boulevard, between Washington and Sherman Parks.  The daylong event culminated in a series guest speakers and performances, as well as youth-led workshops, resource booths and DJs.
