Alex de Grassi has been a unique voice in the world of acoustic guitar for over 30 years, and his innovative approach to composing and arranging for solo steel-string guitar has influenced generation of players. On March 30th he travels to the UWM campus to offer a live performance.

"A Story of Floating Weeds" is one of the most successful and critically acclaimed films by the legendary Japanese filmmaker Yasujiro Ozu. The film follows a group of traveling actors who seem to be drifting aimlessly, carried by currents beyond their control. Alex de Grassi, who wrote the orginal acoustic guitar score, will offer a live performance of the soundtrack.
