Hip-hop and public art converge in the latest Cream City Soundcheck video

Universty of Wisconsin at Milwaukee's documentary media center, doc|UWM just released the latest video for their Cream City Soundcheck series.  The video features hip-hop artist Blax and storyteller, Adam Carr exploring various public art in the city.

The video kicks off with Blax performing at Cactus Club then he meets up with Adam Carr in Sherman Park. They discuss the history of Sherman Park, segregation, public art and more Then the two head off two Walker's Point and talked about the beautiful mural that illustrates the Latino history in Milwaukee. They also visited one of Milwaukee's most popular public art piece, Esperanza Unida “Mural of Peace.
