In this first part of “88Nine Presents: Milwaukee with John Gurda,” we take a close look at Milwaukee’s oldest neighborhood, Walker’s Point.
Walker’s Point attracted immigrants from all over the world with a promise of better life. Today, its industrial flame has fizzled, but a distinct sense of history and place remain, marked by unique architecture and diverse people.
It's a real mixture of cultures. It has been from the start. Just a different version in 2016 than it was in back in the 1800s.

Next week’s episode will feature the neighborhood of Riverwest. Visit “88Nine Presents: Milwaukee with John Gurda” for more information.
