Director of Finance

Radio Milwaukee is hiring a Director of Finance who will be responsible for administering all financial and business operations of the station. This includes oversight of finance, human resource matters, administration of legal and insurance issues, and building and information technology.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Finance shall work closely with staff and Board in preparing and interpreting financial data, recommending workable proposals and formulating goals and policies regarding the financial control and administration of Radio Milwaukee’s assets. 

The person in this position must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting; five years of public accounting experience and/or five years of Controller or CFO experience.  Non-profit experience preferred and a CPA a plus. The role requires someone who has strong supervisory and staff development skills and the ability to relate to staff in a positive professional manner.

This position requires skills in business administration, budget preparation and control, data processing and information systems as well as practical knowledge of accounting, computer operations, record keeping, and financial management procedures.

Digital Content Coordinator                                             

This person will serve as the day-to-day coordinator of the station’s social media properties and will work across departments to create, curate and share digital content. Working under the direction of the Digital Manager, the Digital Content Coordinator’s responsibilities will include:

o   Working with on-air staff to publish programs/features on our website, app and promote on social media

o   Monitor social media for content of interest to our listeners; share on our social media platforms

o   Respond to comments on social media platforms, per station guidelines

o   Generate reports on audience analytics/engagement

o   Suggest and create original content for our social media platforms

o   Assist in creating content calendar, planning for coverage of upcoming events, and plans to share content across platforms

o   Edit and post photos and audio files

o   Assist in building web pages using our Content Management System, following station style guidelines

o   Create graphics using tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator

o   Create/manage photo library

o   Participate in Music Team meetings, planning and other team events

o   Update/curate the event calendar on our website

o   Assist on-air staff in researching, setting up original content they will produce

o   Manage all ticket give-aways to events and concerts; determine with staff best platform and approach to give-aways

Skills: Exceptional writing, editing and grammar skills. Understands and is a frequent “citizen” in the social media universe including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr. Experience working with various content management systems and basic HTML. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated creation of meaningful content on social media platforms and a passion for contemporary music.
