Don't Sleep On (2010 Edition): Warpaint

Here is a description of Sirens from Wikipedia:

In Greek mythology, the Sirens (Greek singular: ?????? Seir?n; Greek plural: ???????? Seir?nes) were three dangerous bird-women, portrayed as seductresses, who lived on an island called Sirenum scopuli. In some later, rationalized traditions the literal geography of the "flowery" island of Anthemoessa, or Anthemusa,is fixed: sometimes on Cape Pelorum and at others in the Sirenusian islands near Paestum or in Capreae. All such locations were surrounded by cliffs and rocks. Sailors who sailed near were compelled by the Sirens' enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast.

You may ask why would I start off a post with a Wikipedia description on the myth of The Sirens. Well it has do to with the band Warpaint. When I first heard their song "Billie Holiday", I completely forgot what I was thinking about. Then the following video for their song Elephant appeared on the blogs. I have to admit I was distracted by the visuals of what I saw, and I mean 'distracted'. I took a listen a second time, and the song was so beautiful and enchanting I played it for a third, fourth and fifth time. Hence my comparing Warpaint to the Greek myth of The Sirens. Here is Warpaint performing the song "Billie Holiday"
