Quincy's career began as a young trumpeter playing with Dizzy Gillespie. Quincy landed a contract with ABC records in 1956 and he continued to record and perform throughout the 50s and 60s. In 1964 he released an album entitled GOLDEN BOY, which featured this track..."The Midnight Sun Will Never Set" was later sampled by Hip Hop Jazz pioneer GURU on his album Jazzmatazz Volume 2.R.I.P. GURU!
