Listen: Growing up, I played soccer with the Milwaukee Kickers. I started my career with the indomitable Blue Gills and eventually graduated to the mighty Manta Rays. And, as things go, soccer has been a part of my life ever since. I played through the end of high school, continued intramurally in college, and since kept the sport up with a pickup game here or there (also, especially on a day like today, I’m an avid fan of the U.S. Men’s Soccer Team!). It’s been a wonderful and positive part of my life, but as I take a moment to reflect, I can’t quite remember my first connections with soccer.

And that’s where the Milwaukee Kickers MiKro Soccer Program comes in. They give 3-6 year olds their first exposure to soccer, which in itself imparts upon the kids countless other lessons besides dribbling, passing, and shooting.
