This week we are looking at SAMPLES THAT ROCK! Songs that make you want to bang your head. One of sample based music's favorite rock musician's GARY NUMAN has been sampled by many artists over the years. The Fearless Four, Kool G Rap, J Dilla and Rza have all sampled the sounds of Gary Numan. One of my personal favorites was on the 2001 Basement Jaxx album ROOTY.
This track was a big hit for the Jaxx. The video was one of my favorite on MTV at that time. (Remember when MTV actually played videos?)
Gary was a pioneer of electronic punk. His 1979 album Pleasure Principle contained the hits "Cars", "Complex" and this track... "M.E."
