UWM Mentors Team Up with STEM, IOU Sports and St. Joan Antida High School/Safe Streets Healthy Kids Week 7

Get STEMMED some more with UWM Department of Human Movement Sciences, The UWM Department of Athletics,  St. Joan Antida High School, and IOU Sports. The STEM in Sports Academy held on May 18, 2011 at UWM's Klotsche Ceter featured presentations and activities including sports statistics, functional movement analysis, nutrition, sports medicine, and technology and sports marketing in order to encourage girls to become more involved in scientific and technological careers. This event is part of a pilot program for St. Joan Antida girls. I interviewed two UWM student mentors and their professor about women role models, leadership, and philanthropy.
