A couple of weeks ago, the legendary Gil Scott Heron passed away at the age of 62. His words and music made such impact on music today especially hip hop, and modern spoken word. A Paris-based artist Sandra Nkaké put together a tribute to Gil Scott Heron called "A Place For You." It is based on Gil Scott Heron's cover of Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues." She released the song as a free download. She also invited some of her musican friends to create remixes, which is also available as free download. You can grab the song and the remixes here.
