Rhythm Lab Pick | All Female Comp. Supports Amnesty Intl's "Stop Violence Against Women" Campaign

Everyday I look for new music to play for my show Rhythm Lab Radio. Once in a while, I come across something really unique and special that will be guarnteed to be featured on the upcoming show. Last night, I came across something really unique and special.

It is compilation of all female artists called "Untold Stories: Volume One." What makes this compilation so special?  Well besides of gathering some amazing  female artists from around the world, proceeds of the sale of the compilation supports Amnesty International's "Stop Violence Against Women" campaign. The compilation was released by an organization called She Said 2 Much, which promotes Music, Women and Human Rights. They have partnered with Amnesty International UK to release this 23 track compilation to raise awareness on this serious worldwide problem.

The compilation was curated by London-based singer Belle and features tracks from Ursula Rucker (The Roots / 4hero), Vula (Basement Jaxx / Ty / Cee-Lo Green), Shuanise (TOKiMONSTA / fLako), Heidi Vogel (Cinematic Orchestra / Mark de Clive-Lowe), Ahu (Flying Lotus), Yarah Bravo (One Self / kidkanevil), Stac (Wah Wah 45s / Nu:Tone), Tanya Auclair (YULT), Sarina Leah (Ty / Eric Lau) and Elodie Rama (Natural Self / Hocus Pocus), and more.

I will be featuring songs from this compilation on this Friday's Rhythm Lab Radio at 10pm. In the meantime, you can take a listen to entire compilation and purchase via BandCamp.  They recently released a free remix ep as well, and you can grab it here.
