The Lindsay Heights neighborhood has its own Youth Council, and with the help of Running Rebels' Mike Peeples, the Lindsay Heights Youth Council is out to make a difference in its community. Local youth from middle schools, high schools, and UWM meet at Running Rebel's headquarters to strategize ways to address various issues: safety, education, social justice, neighborhood engagement (among other things).
I played "fly on the wall" for a bit and also spoke with two youth participants and Mike Peeples about the Lindsay Heights YC and its importance as an asset to the neighborhood.
