2011 has been the year of the 'super' collaborations. Recently, we had Jaz-Z and Kanye release "Watch The Throne." The super group Superheavy, which consists of Damian Marley, Joss Stone, Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, and A.R. Rahman, released a track a few weeks ago.
The indie music scene will have their own 'super' collaboration. Eau Claire's Bon Iver and London's James Blake will collaborate on new material. Both of these artist had a big year with their current releases. Apparently, you will get to hear it on August 24. According to James Blakes' twitter, a song or album entitled "Fall Creek Boys Choir" will be announced or released.
Fall Creek is name of the town where Justin Vernon owns a studio. This should be very interesting, and I definitely can't wait to see what comes out of this collaboration. (via Pitchfork)
