The WGirls Milwaukee Chapter is a part of a much larger picture.
WGirlswas originally founded by a small group of professional women living in New York City. These women met every Wednesday (hence, the W) to discuss how they could donate their time, energy and talents to give back to underprivileged women and children throughout their community.
The WGirls Milwaukee Chapter started in October of 2009, and it’s been growing every since. I met two very bright women, Alexa and Rachael, and it was impossible not to share their excitement and enthusiasm when discussing what they do. *In its third year, Hope for the Holidays is celebrating the season of giving and brightening the lives of children of The Family Life Center.
