ABLE (Audio Braille Literacy Enhancement)is an organization in Milwaukee that transcribes books for the blind and visually impaired. How do they do this? Volunteers, folks, lots of volunteers!
Books are transcribed to Braille, or into audiobooks. Staff and volunteers work with visually impaired to bring magazines, literature, academic texts, and other forms of literacy to their fingertips (literally).
