I just received an email from Fresh Cut Collective's Kiran Vee about his new side project under a new alias, Bellse Soneek (pronounced: Bell-Say Saw-Neek). He is working on a series of beat tapes paying tribute to some of his favorite artists like Herbie Hancock, Arthur Verocai, Ramsey Lewis and others. He will be releasing a compilation featuring tracks from the beat tapes near the end of summer in 2012.
Bellse Soneek just droped the first in the series, which pays tribute to Roy Ayers. You can listen and download it via Fresh Cut Collective's Bandcamp page.
