Someone ask me once, "what happened to all that great soul music that I used to love?" Good question. If you listen to mainstream radio, I would ask the same question. However, there are several artist that are making some mind-blowing soul music including Michael Kiwanuka and Charles Bradley, who will be coming to Turner Hall Ballroom on February 17.
One artist that I have been a huge fan of is Lee Fields. One of my all time favorite songs is "Honey Dove" by this veteran artist. Lee Field is back with what could be 2012's best soul song. Fields just release the single "You're The Kind Of Girl" from his forthcoming album Faithful Man, which is due out on March 13 on the indie label Truth and Soul Records. The song is tribute to all women. So take a listen and download and give it to your favorite lady, whether it would be your wife, sister, girlfriend, or mother. Good soul music will never go away.
