Fine Artist and Muralist, Brooklyn Henke, has experience drawing, painting, faux finishing and working on theatre sets. Brooklyn received her BFA in painting from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and is currently getting her Masters of Fine Art from UW-Milwaukee.
As an artist juggling school life and creative endeavors, Brooklyn has been working hard to make her mark here in Milwaukee. She’s left an artistic print at the Milwaukee Public Museum, Hotel Metro, the Skylight Opera Theatre, etc.
So about month ago, I stopped by Hotel Metro to see the latest mural Brooklyn was working on. I wanted to know what it was like for a student and aspiring artist to connect with Milwaukee’s art scene.
